Statement

I see the sewing needles moving up and down on cloth - a long and hard process to make up clothes.

This reminds me of a school of fish, And the threads are fish's live;

The clothes give meaning to the fish's lives

So, if we think of needles as fish and the thread as fish's life, you will see in my exhibition three pieces of work:

1. Upstream:

With the call from existence, herds of fish go upstream, up to the river head, year after year.

2. Fish bites:

Fish can use only their mouths to hunt for food: 'Lips as balt'. When we add a grave accent to the word "lips" (môi) in Vietnamese, it becomes "balt" (mồi).

3. Fish on the chopping board:

Fish can be caught and if caught, their chance of escape is so minimal.
