Statement

During my residency time at HIVE, my practice is based on collected documents. By transforming them into different forms I convey different concepts regarding the body and sex, and social problems that lead to the fact that women are more often subjected to sexual exploitations.

The process of accumulating documents relating to gynecological equipment helped me better understand the characteristics of the female sexual part, how they function and change through different phases of our lives. From copying and transforming these documents on a red background - symbolizing violence, pain, and fear, I wanted to give another perspective that is different from that of science and men towards women's bodies, and through that challenge the viewer's perception towards women's bodies.
