Phạm Ngọc Dương was born in Hanoi, graduated from Hanoi University of Fine Arts (2001).

Phạm Ngọc Dương works with painting, sculpture, installation and performance. His early contemporary art practice consisted of poetic installations, sometimes combined with the artist's performance in the exhibition space. His later works directly reflect social issues in the context of modernization in Vietnam.
